Heads of State Blimp Activation
Overview
To promote the Heads of State action film with John Cena and Idris Elba, Amazon Prime Video and MGM Studios partnered with Buoyant Aero for a bold, high-visibility aerial campaign timed to the July 4th holiday weekend. In under two weeks from greenlight to liftoff, we designed, built, and launched a custom-printed advertising blimp that flew up and down the Los Angeles coastline — engaging beachgoers from Malibu to Venice to Redondo Beach and delivering three quarters of a million impressions during one of the busiest weekends of the summer.
Execution
Across three days of flying, the Heads of State blimp cruised the full span of L.A.'s most iconic beach zones, putting Amazon's latest blockbuster front and center in the skyline. Strategic launch points and route planning ensured that the blimp remained highly visible from beaches, piers, and oceanfront roads throughout the weekend.
